Asperger’s Disorder was thought to be a lifelong disorder in which individuals experience severe and sustained impairment in their social interactions and develop restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, and activities that negatively impact their social, academic, and/or occupational functioning⁽¹⁾. To date there are no medications approved to treat the core symptoms of Asperger’s Disorder⁽²⁾.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, neurological treatment for Asperger’s Disorder that has been shown to decrease the core symptoms of Asperger’s Disorder and the conditions that commonly co-occur with Asperger’s Disorder (ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, Depression). Research supports that neurofeedback reduces the core symptoms of Asperger’s Disorder⁽³⁾ without risk of serious adverse side effects⁽⁴⁾. Studies also report maintained symptom reduction and continued neurological improvement 3, 6, and 24 months after the completion of neurofeedback treatment for other neurological conditions⁽⁵⁾.
