MIGRAINES
Migraine Headaches are repeated, episodic, throbbing headaches lasting up to 72 hours, often with unilateral head pain that worsens with light, sound and movement, and includes feelings of nausea and vomiting(1). Migraine sufferers have an increased risk for developing symptoms of epilepsy, depression, anxiety, and stroke. Migraine medications can be ineffective due to the complexity of the condition leaving sufferers to experience pain with little relief. Common side effects from migraine medications include: dizziness, nausea, depression, insomnia, fatigue, sedation, and kidney failure(2).
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, neurological treatment for Migraine Headaches that helps reduce the core symptoms of Migraine Headaches(3) without the risk of serious side effects(4). Studies also report maintained symptom reduction and continued neurological improvement 3, 6, 14, and 24 months after treatment was completed for conditions treated with neurofeedback(5).
